A few favorite photos from 2016

Posted on December 25, 2016

Its that time of year again time to look back at some of our favorite photos from 2016. As a South Florida wedding photographer, I enjoy shooting events at all different types of venues and working with all kinds of people. Every couple has a unique personality and I always try to capture that special essence when I photograph them. In addition to photographing wedding and events I also spent some time traveling and taking some scenic photos as well.

Below: the 3 photos below were taken at Stephanie and Geoffrey's wedding. This beautiful wedding took place at the Harbor Beach Marriott. The Harbor Beach Marriott is located on Fort Lauderdale beach and is the perfect place for a dream wedding. The Harbor Beach Marriott is also one of my favorite places to shoot!!

Working at a variety of locations allows me the opportunity to get my creative juices flowing and when returning to a place Ive worked at many times, I always try to discover a fresh perspective and find new places to shoot. If you are planning a South Florida wedding, youll find a plethora of locations to choose from throughout the area. From Palm Beach to Miami and points in between, there are an enormous number of great hotels, country clubs and other interesting locations to check out. There are various tropical gardens and private homes, mansions and even restaurants to look at. Also, there is the option of getting married on a yacht this is South Florida, so why not? The other popular options in this part of South Florida are temples. Many clients have both their ceremony and reception at a local temple. In this case, the preference is to begin photographic coverage at another location beforehand such as a hotel where there are nice grounds to shoot.

This collection of photos includes pictures that are not only from weddings, but also from engagement shoot sessions, mitzvahs and some travel photos. Travel photos are always fun to take. I love to see new places and trying my best to create photos that provide a creative perspective on the subject. Then I use Photoshop to enhance the photos and bring out the best aspects of the shot. I hope you will enjoy this snapshot of my favorite picks from 2016!!

Below: These vintage styled photos were taken in Orlando Florida. They were shot using an infrared process. Infrared photography is usually done out doors but the soft look of infrared helped to create the romantic look of these two photos.

Below: One of my favorite photos from Whistler Blackcomb in BC Canada.

Below: This was shot during Paige's Bat Mitzvah at Stonebridge Country Club, Boca Raton.

Below another photo taken at the Harbor Beach Marriott during Sandi & Jamie's wedding.

Below: This photo taken at Emily and Dave's wedding is a reminder of one of my favorite casual weddings. The wedding took place at the Coconut Palm Inn, Key Largo FL.

Brooke and Jaron at the Coral Gables Country Club.

Below from Deanna & Mark's Wedding. I just love this shot of Deanna doing her first dance with her father. The chemistry between this lovely bride and her father was amazing. Joni Scalzo from Your Special Day by Joni put together an amazing wedding.

Below: Kristen and Jet taken at Boca Resort.

The two photos below were taken at the Ocean Reef Club. The Ocean reef club is another one of my all time favorite places. Ashley & Mike were so much fun to photograph. Thanks Ashley for stepping into the brush and letting me take the black & white infrared photo below.

This is one of my favorite photos from Venice Italy. I had to lay down on the ground to get this shot.

Below: Old farmhouse in Tuscany

Entrance to first Olympic stadium, Olympia

Below: Beach while sea kayaking, Dubrovnik

Below: Jen and Joe share a kiss during their wedding at The Addison, Boca Raton.

I had a blast shooting Dara & David's engagement shoot and I'm looking forward to photographing their wedding in May at PGA.

Sarah & Andrew taken a the Harbor Beach Marriott.

Below: One of my most unique photo shoots and a very interesting person. At 100 years old Jacque Fresco has a unique way of viewing the world and mankind. Many of his unique view points and thoughts regarding science and civilization were viewed by many as at a fiction. However today much of his views are actually quickly becoming reality. These two photos below were taken during a photo/video shoot for a new documentary now in production.

Check out the The Venus Project to learn more about Jacque Fresco.

This is just a small sampling of some of my favorite photos from 2016. I have many other photos from weddings, events and travel that are equally as beautiful and unique from my 2016 archive. Many more have been posted on my Facebook page. Feel free to friend me on Facebook to see more of my photos. We are looking forward to having an amazing 2017 and wish all of our clients and viewers Happy Holidays and a 2017 full of success and happiness.
